Two-Strikes Policy for those Who Have Committed Sex Crimes Against Children

The LNP has announced that, if elected, they will introduce a “two-strikes” policy for repeat offenders who have committed serious sex crimes against children, including rape and sexual assault.

This policy would entail repeat offenders facing mandatory life imprisonment with a 20-year non-parole period, a move that has been publicly welcomed and supported by Hetty Johnston, Executive Director of Bravehearts.
